The shorts sent Herb out with questions about MTI selling some Gladiators to Center7, Noorda's new ASP venture, suggesting they might have missed their number without it. Pretty weak. He also attacked MTI about how it books business on equipment shipped at the end of the quarter, called "bill and hold", suggesting MTI is stuffing the channel. The problem is, and the street seems to know this already, MTI doesn't really have a channel to speak of. BV
