Christine--

>>>So far, the only truly unrealistic part is having Herman Miller Aeron chairs ($999 each) in a government conference room. <<<

Are you sure about that? I mean afterall, they've spent 50 million on the D.C. command center for the "non-event" they might have ordered a few of those snotty, overpriced chairs.
(Yes, I want one too.)

I still say we missed our chance gang. That was one bad movie.

They couldn't even pull-off a decent evacuation scene. Think of Independence Day...Now THOSE were evacuation scenes!

And no continuity...Why did those jerks in the biker bar in NY have all the candles sitting around lit if they were "watching" the disaster at the nuclear power plant unfold on "T.V.," huh, Huh? Jeez!

As a side note: Following the movie in my area they was the predictable panel of experts, Lt. Gov., State ABA Rep., and local utility mouthpiece, giving the usual "all is well" speil as chirpy, blonde news anchor lobbed softball questions.

My guess is that any change public awareness/sentiment as a result of this movie will amount to zilch. Perhaps the next Harris Quick Poll is a better gauge. As pollsters they should include a question as to whether or not the respondent saw the movie. That could be an interesting poll.
