Les:

Good Post.

A large number of N. American investors have jumped into the Japanese markets, believing that "Japan is on the mend". Baloney. I access plenty of Japanese stats and they sure suggest just the opposite. My favourite, machine tool orders, just continues to sag. Without Japan recovering, Asia goes nowhere. Japan still hasn't cleaned up its worthless bank loans mess, hence the problems will continue. I expect the Japanese markets to tumble badly in the near term.

Do you remember when Japan posted government surpluses every year? (g)

Best, Earlie
