MENLO PARK, Calif. (Dow Jones)--Onsale Inc. (ONSL) completed its merger with
Egghead.com Inc. (EGGS).
In a press release Monday, Egghead said its shareholders will receive 0.565
Onsale common shares for each Egghead share.
The name of the resulting company will be Egghead.com, and it will be based in
Menlo Park, Calif., with operations in Vancouver, Wash.
Egghead.com will trade under the ONSL symbol on Monday. On Tuesday, it will
trade under the EGGSD symbol for 10 trading days, after which it will be traded
under the EGGS symbol.
The company plans to add an additional board member at a later time.
Egghead is a national reseller of personal computer hardware, software,
peripherals and accessories.
Onsale operates Web auctions through which it sells refurbished and closeout
computers, peripherals and consumer electronics.
As reported, the companies signed a definitive merger agreement in July.
