Cooters, The H&Q report is interesting. If you are a schwab customer, the full report is available at their web site. They discuss asic business and capacity issues. Also, discuss the hand set pricing issues. In asic area they indicate capacity is no longer a problem and lead times have declined. Also, dwell on book to bill dropping below 1. In the hand set area, they mention continued pricing pressure which is dropping the average phone cost. This drop causes royalty income to be less. Thus, a large increase in users is necessary to offset declining prices. I do not think they do a good job of predicting growth, but it is still worth reading. Does give another opinion.
