"Sallie Mae Solutions, a new division of Sallie Mae (NYSE:SLM - news), and billserv.com, Inc. (BLLS) today announced that they have entered into a partnership to create Net.Pay, a new electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) service for colleges and universities nationwide."

I love this news for billserv.com. College students are very, very digital and likely to be big adopters of the service. Colleges will like the cost savings involved in billing and collecting the money. And this will get some publicity when it reached critical mass because it is interesting and neat. Seems the students will want a "bill-forwarding" feature for sending these to their parents! And Sallie Mae has a lot of leverage at the colleges where they are the source of tuition loans. They can advance the loan component of the money to the school, while the student pays the balance. All on one electronic statement. This is a great win, IMO.
