Ken,

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. I have been out of the country and when I got back I found your posting. My understanding of the split, and I will double check this for correctness, is that shares bought the day before the April 21st split date will be treated the same as those held on March 18.

Since I am late we also know what the earnings are for this quarter. The consensus was $.24 with Needham recently initiating coverage at a buy. The actual is $.26 on less revenue, which we expected incidentally, because of the decision by a notebook computer maker to not go forward with their plans. The margin is improving and I feel the revenues will take a fairly dramatic jump between now and September. I base that on the fact that my broker speaks with their public relations people regularly and they are gearing up for a press release on their agreement with Samsung. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I understand this to be a licensing agreement whereby, if Parlex is unable to meet the demands of the auto manufacturer they have a contract with for Fall '97, Samsung will license Parlex's technology and pick up the slack. This would be incredibly fortunate because those licensing royalties would go directly to the bottom line. The release was initially scheduled for next week but has been backed up for a later time. How much later I don't know but I suspect long before end of June qtr.

As I get more information I will pass it along. I am tempted, by the way, to bring this thread over to the semiconductor area in hopes of picking up a few more interested people and thereby generating more conversation. Please tell me how you would feel about that.

Best Regards,

Steve

P.S. I have increased my holdings on the drops.
