Have you checked the rig count recently? The GOM count has risen from 107 to 121 in the last month. Don't you always say that the lid will blow off when we hit 130 in GOM? It looks to me like we are getting close. How about the new well permits filed? I posted this a week ago and got no response. From the Simmons site: simmonsco-intl.com We are at a level not seen in seven years!!! We are also way above any level seen in "Boom '97." Am I the only one who thinks that this is significant??? Maybe I shouldn't be in this game. To me the permits say it all. Granted a permit is not a commitment to drill, but why bother if you have no intention to follow through. Hey, I just like to beat the crowd to the party - holding PTEN until the cows come home. (I do wish that winter would come. This 70 degree nonsense in Washington DC is getting real old. It is snowing in Denver however!!!)
