Soundview starts computer network storage sector

NEW YORK, Nov 22 (Reuters) - Soundview Technology Group
said Monday it had started coverage of companies that provide
software or equipment for computer network storage systems.
-- Soundview's personal computer analyst, Mark Specker,
started Brocade Communications Systems Inc. <BRCD.O> and
Network Appliance <NTAP.O> with strong buy ratings.
-- put a price target of $380 on shares of Brocade, which
provides switches for computer network storage systems.
-- put a price target of $160 on Network Appliance, a maker
of software and equipment used to store computer data.
-- started coverage on Gadzoox Networks Inc. <ZOOX.O> with
a buy rating and a $100 price target. Gadzoox makes products
that allow companies to build storage area networks.
-- Brocade was down 5-3/8 to 251-5/8 early Monday. Gadzoox
shares was off 2-15/16 to 70-15/16, while Network Appliance was
up 1-5/16 to 117-1/8.
