Goutama, I became convinced of a Gateway/750 MHz connection when I realized that AMD could have announced the 750 at Comdex rather than 10 days later, I mean, who would know when they actually started shipping it? Then I saw the email from Gateway on JC's site: P.S. Please hold off until mid next week (11/29-12/04) before purchasing from Compaq or IBM and please visit our website, you might find what your looking for. :) This makes the date that Gateway says you will be able to purchase an Athlon system very close to the 750 announcement date being rumored. It is all speculation and the emails could be phony, but it makes sense. Petz
