<<but I've noticed most price spikes due to Kim's buy recommendations will be faded by the shorts. >>

this statement by you is as absurd as it is ignorant. Perhaps very temporarily, the shorts would have some fun with some of my picks. Shorts had some fun with IMAN at 24 to 25 on Friday -- today it closes at 32 1/8 as I predicted.
shorts had some fun with RETK in the 30s on Friday, today the stock closes near 50
Shorts had some very temporary fun with MSLV on Friday at the open, but today MSLV went as high as 74, 9 points above my revised target of 65.
Shorts had some fun with JNIC at 40 to 42 when I was pounding the table, a few days later JNIC turned triple digits.
Shorts had some fun with CYSV from 40 to 48 - a few days later CYSV went to 80
Shorts had some fun with AGIL at 65, look where it is now
I can come up with at least 20 to 30 examples. In 9 out 10 ten cases, my picks usually reach their price target.
Shorts had some fun with ASDS at 13, today it went as high as 19 3/8
Shorts had some fun with JCDA when I was pounding the table all the way down to 8.
Shorts had some fun with Viador at 9, maybe at 12, then it shot up as high as 27 in a few days.

I can go on and on with at least 30 more examples. Can you just name one?
