That's right and they killed plenty, much more than Hitler. Over 30 million during the history of the USSR, without any help from religion of any kind. That shoots to hell your assumption that religion is the problem. Religion has been used as a convenient excuse for killing by people who were going to kill anyhow, that's all.

Any objectively thinking person can clearly see the role that religion plays in wars.

It's not religion, it's the people that are the problem. Some believe that Hitler and his henchmen were heavily into the occult. I don't know if that's true or not but I'm sure of what you will say about it!
