This is exactly what I am pursuing. If Flashcom does it then I'll sing their praises here If not Flashcom then perhaps InReach wants all the business; I think they now have the right to have it. My case is sounds very similar to yours. So I want a service company to fix it instead of excusin' about it. This is 1999 after all, and all that's needed is for a technician to install some "Cisco" shoebox in my neighborhood distribution panel. This candidate "superman" provider will just send out a person to drop this thing in and wire up the 10 to 50 of us that want DSL - then take a few of the freed up twisted pair and do a point-to-point wideband back to the CO. At the CO they will say, "Excuse me, but mind if I put this rack over there?" while waiving the FCC ruling briskly about. They will then terminate their wideband onto a "Cisco" router to UUNET. DONE! While they are at it this "foreign" equipment rack will terminate dozens of similar mux'ed back haul's from other remote neighborhoods as well as hundreds of direct RADSL direct lines from customers located within the three mile DSL service radius. With a little sales fervor I bet such a completitor will have a huge chunk of all local subscribers in service before the telco can make it to their next pay phone rate hike hearing :-) So this is G.lite DSL and no phone under. Well don't really care because the telco will bring me phone on my SECOND wire pair as they do today. Do I care whether its on separate copper as opposed to "under" DSL? NO! Why - the phone co will charge me the SAME RATE for phone dial tone regardless of the method used. Why should I care given the fees are the same? <rant off> Jeff
