Great work Maurice, but I think you must have made an arithmetic error. You quote:

.....that production, along with oceanic and terrestrial
biomass cycling maintained a carbon dioxide reservoir in the atmosphere of about
2.2X10^15 kg. Current fossil fuel and land use practices now introduce about a
(net) 17.6X10^12 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere and has resulted in a
progressively increasing atmospheric reservoir of 2.69X10^15 kg of CO2.

Those numbers suggest that atmospheric CO2 has already been increased by (2.69/2.29 - 1) 14% by anthropogenic effects, and that each year we are adding (net) another 0.65% (1.76/2.29 x 10^-2) to the already enhanced figure. Those numbers seem substantial to me.

Co2 fertilization should be taken into effect. If it goes to build more dense forests, they could soak up some c02 until they are felled. If, however, it enhances growth that dies back in winter, or growth that is consumed by animals, then the co2 will be liberated again in short order - so no net amelioration. An extension in the growing season will similarly soak up Co2, but not for long in the case of many plants.

But I digress. These are technicalities. Your figures suggest to me that there might be a problem. Our problem is that we should make decisions on inadequate information. Farmers and fishermen, and other business people do this all the time.
