Those "killing times" are already happening in places like the Sudan where christians see their spouses murdered and their children sent into slavery. I wonder at times how many of us are aware of what's happening in places besides our own backyard.

Lord, help us to be thankful for our freedom which we take so often for granted. Prepare us for the times to come and don't let us get comfortable with our surroundings. We are strangers indeed. Help us to always remember that this is not our home. Amen.
