NO Free Will concerning repentance..
All men are called to repent :
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Man however is DEAD in Adam and can only will to hide from God until Called !
Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Repentance is a gift of the spirit not a fruit of the flesh.
Remember in the flesh dwells NO GOOD THING !!!!
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
True repentance not of the flesh and acceptable to God is a Gift of the Spirit not a deed of the flesh !
2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Remember Judas Repented in the Flesh
Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
Judas admitted guilt = " I have sinnned "
Judas attempted to make restitution ( something a lot of carnal so-called Christians won't even do ) = " cast down the silver "
Judas was truly sorrowful = " hanged himself"
Judas went to hell = " is a devil " ( was never a SON )
Also: Esau who was hated before birth also repented in the flesh:
Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
Esau desire to be an heir = " he would have "
Esau looked for repentance = " he found no place "
Esau was sincere = " sought it carefully "
Esau was sorry for sin = " with tears "
Esau went to hell ( he was hated before he was born )
If you have the Gift of True Spiritual Repentance you had better start Thanking God and stop praising yourself and your so-called free will !
I don't think God is impressed... AT ALL !
Is it not a great evil to receive a gift and then act as though you did not receive it ???
1 Corinthians 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
Men do not earn salvation through the work of accepting Christ in their flesh ! That is heresy and to be detested !
