John: I agree we should see the bond rally confirmed. It stalled today. But from what I'm reading, the bond market rallied as Greenspan raised rates, lowering long term yields in 1994 or 1995. The thinking was raising rates will slow the economy which means low liklihood of inflation so lock in rates by being long on bonds. See this week's interview in Barron's for more on the long bond.
