I liked "Mr. Yen's" comments when he left. Having been offered an extension by the Japanese parliament, he stated that the bursting of the U.S. bubble, was going to have an extremely adverse effect on Japan and that he did not want to be around when it occurred. He also indicated that he thought it would occur in the near term.

Of course this did not make the popular financial press over here, but it was headlines in Japan.
