Frank and Valueman: thank you for your insight. Frank: Thanks for directing me to those links. I have a lot a reading up to do. Your point about vandalism/exposure is something that I never considered...but I am sure that that operators have. Valueman: I agree with your opinion that nothing will happen quickly (akin to dial-up access disappearing overnight..just not gonna happen). I would fathom that the most important thing a tower corp investor must do now is the keep an eye open and judge if things are aggressively heading down that road of being built into the handset or along the PCS network. A bit tricky..those towers could easily end up waving the worthless certificates of their shareholders if things go wrong :-). Timing seems to be the key.
