To All,
Big News from Bloomberg!!! Carlos Slim, a Mexican tycoon, may change his investment relationship with CPU from passive stockholders to active stockholders. From the change, Slim may take actions to affect the CPU. Moreover, Slim himself is closely watched for his business acumen. For example, SBC telecommunications Inc. the No. 1 U.S. local telephone operator, announced it would take a 43% stake in Internet service provider Prodigy Communications Corp, majority (60%) hold by Slim companies. The move makes Prodigy a leader consumer in the United States, and it could just the begging of even more deals to come, some experts said.

In addition, Claudo X Gouzalez Laporte, a director of Carso, bought 100,000 CPU shares for $5.15 to $7.72 apiece from Sept. to Nov. 15. Laporte is a Mexican citizen and the chairman of Kimberly Clark de Mexico.

I believe both, Slim and Laporte, will take some actions to affect CPU, just like they did the Prodigy.

Best wishes

James
