maouse, I've been married to one for twelve years.
ps. no offense, but is there truly a thing as a Jewish Christian? Or is it just someone who's covering both their bases? LOL ;)
His parents weren't much on any religion. But it was important to his father to get the Rabbi to issue a Hebrew birth certificate and do the other rituals for male babies. I guess it was kind of like people who get their babies Baptized, and then never see the inside of a church again. When he was a young man, he accepted Jesus as his Saviour, and was Baptized as an adult. I come from a strong Christian family, and my mother was a little concerned when she knew I was dating a man with a Jewish name. But I was in my thirties, so she couldn't pull that "You're too young" stuff on me. And now, as the years have passed, and she can see that he's the "Real Deal", I think she loves him more than me. :o))
I don't understand prejudice at all. One of my earliest memories was being in Sunday School and singing "Jesus Loves the little children, all the little children of the world, red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, Jesus Loves the little children of the world" That song touched me and has stayed with me all of my life.
My favorite verse is when Jesus said "This is My Commandment, that you Love one another." So I try live by that.
