Art, ...Art, ..............Art,.............. Art:

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.

....Read the first part of the fact findings. It explains that Windows is used on some 90 percent of PCs, and at the same time, why this constitutes a monopoly. It specifically refers to Apple and other types of personal computers but shows that adding up all the substitutes still produces less than 30 percent of the market for PC's. The conclusion is that Windows constitutes a monopoly. If Microsoft is stupid enough to allow time for Judge Jackson to issue his findings on the law, then watch all the private lawsuits, based on the facts and the law......

Don't you get it yet? The relevant market is the INTERNET.

Sun makes Java. Java is an internet product.

Netscape was an internet company. Mosaic is an internet product.

Aol is an internet company.

Oracle doesn't make a pc data base, they make an Internet database.

THE RELEVANT MARKET IS THE INTERNET.

The relevant market is not PART of the internet. MSFT forced Netcape to give away their browser for free.

What is the sound of one hand clapping? You need to control both the server hardware, and the server software and the pc hardware and the pc software.

Sort of like Sun is trying to do. :)))))

And even then you have to talk about voice in addition to data.

then watch all the private lawsuits, based on the facts and the law.

Bring 'em on, IF anyone's been damaged at the expense of the consumer, then heaven love 'em, they have a right to be compensated, that's what private litigation is for.

With all apologies to Dave Sam and Janis, Big Brother should stay with The Holding Company.
