CALGARY, Nov. 22 /CNW/ - Axia NetMedia Corporation (AXX-TSE) announced
today that its wholly-owned subsidiary Citizen Connect UK has signed a
continuing agreement for delivery of its NetMedia application Job Connect with
University for Industry (UFI) in the UK. UFI is an organization established by
the British Government in order to execute its plans to improve the level of
skills and training in the UK population and create a society of life-long
learners.
Job Connect will contribute revenue to Axia through a number of channels,
such as user-pay, sponsor-pay, licensing and hosting. The agreement provides
Axia a minimum number of prepaid subscriptions for the program, with a value
of approximately $4.75 million. Axia expects larger revenues over the coming
years from this, its first NetMedia product sale.
Job Connect answers a growing worldwide demand for efficient education
and retraining of the workforce. Axia approaches this NetMedia solution from a
''global'' perspective, marrying the power of the Internet with the ability to
customize content to reflect the cultural and linguistic differences from
country to country. It is expected that Job Connect will become the global
standard for online retraining, mentoring and career enhancement.
A more definitive news release will be posted within a week and
additional information will be available on Axia's Website at www.axia.com at
that time.
Axia NetMedia Corporation develops and implements customer solutions for
