I lost a total of $8 on this stock and have no hard feelings. I watch it for amusement. However, i must insist because the reasons you cite in your post that the securities laws do protect these types of scams. It is not intentional. Companies hide behind not disclosing "insider info" to keep
all the things you just mentioned away from the investing public until it is too late. I think those people who exposed CHNA and Mak were those that lost a bunch of money and were motivated to look closely to get info that was not readily available in SEC documents (which I read thoroughly).

It is not a matter of which country has better or worse protection for investors it is a question of getting rid
of unintended consequences in our current system.
