GNET's "prior" lawsuit against Mr. Tom Taulli.

In my opinion I detected some major "sour grapes" in Tom Taulli's negative article against GNET posted on this thread today. Link to original article: internetstockreport.com

I found this link to a previous SI post (dated July 29, 1999) regarding Mr. Taulli's departure from SI, that you all might find interesting: Message 10704618

And in addition,
the following article was published in the Seattle Times
on August 31, 1999 regarding Mr. Taulli's departure:

GO2NET CLAIMS EX-ANALYST REVEALED CONFIDENTIAL DATA

SEATTLE Ñ Go2Net, an Internet search service and Web-site provider, has filed a lawsuit against a former analyst who helped publicize its Silicon Investor site, contending the analyst revealed confidential information.

Go2Net said Tom Tauli, widely quoted initial-public-offering analyst who lives in Calabasas, Calif., told The Wall Street Journal that the company canceled his stock options on 34,000 shares, worth as much as $2.5 million, when it fired him.

The newspaper reported in March that Taulli was fired after quarreling with executives over a vacation.

The lawsuit, filed Aug. 16 in King County Superior Court, claims Taulli violated his contract by disclosing his compensation in the interview. His agreement forbids releasing such information even after leaving the company, Go2Net said.

As I said before, "Always consider the source" (and "check out" your "information" source).
And again, regarding Mr. Taulli,
"Methinks ye doth protest too much."
