EricL - I have a GSM phone here in the US which is my European number. Motorola tri-band. Works OK here in Houston. Incidentally the carrrier here appears as Areil. Whoe are these people? BTW I only use it to get the call and find out who it is then I end the GSM call asap and call them back with my Thin Phone. But I can't take my Thin Phone to Europe becuase CDMA isn't allowed there desptite the fact that GSM system there is total crap. Now why has GSM been allowed in the US but CDMA has been very effectively banned in Europe? Best regards, L
