The other distinction is that he was also making calls based on index trades, not on individual stocks. If people were basing decisions on individual stocks based solely on market averages, then that is their perogative. As for risk premiums, I earlier posted the URL for Bill Gross opinion on market P/Es and the economy being more consistent of late (i.e., fewer recessions).
