Daven, your estimates are reasonable. As far as seasonality affecting zip and jaz sales, I think you are correct in saying that they will not be affected. The limiting factor on zip and jaz so far has been production. I do not expect to see a down quarter as far as revenues OR eps. The only product that will be affected by seeasonality IMHO is Ditto.

As far as FY 96 revenues: I'm thinking 1.5 to 1.7 billion, leaning more toward the higher number. I believe the product manager that let slip his 8 million zips for 96 number.

Tie rates for zip, so far they have been ten to one. My own experience bears this out.As far as jaz, according to McConathy of ProMax the tie ratio is very good; I'll have to look for his number.

Also, on DVD, this is what MCConathy says

<<<Please explain why DVD Is a threat to any of Iomega's products? You have mentioned it several times(as
have others) but not once have I seen a credible analysis as to why It Is a threat.>>>

I was presented DVD product time lines by one of the major players to get my reaction several months ago. The
part of DVD that could be a threat is the fact it also contains Phase Change Rewritable Optical starting at 650
MB going on to something over 2 GB as well as CD of something around 5 GB and then doubling that in a
couple of years. The CD player will play the current 650 MB, the 5 GB, and the 10 GB discs if my memory
serves me right.

I asked the key question...as DVD gets larger does it get faster...he paused and said well that is still the problem.
Transfer rate will keep the demand for ZIP and Jaz in their markets for sometime to come.

I see the CD part of it DVD as a great entertainment device. Full length movies, quality color with quality
sound. The Phase Change rewritable part could replace tape backup to a large degree.

Tell me if I have it all wrong...
