NY Stew.....and thread. As a new investor in GMST I am trying to read everything I can on the company. Working my way through posts here and on other threads and the company's SEC filings is certainly educational, if mind-boggling.

I wonder if you would mind explaining, in simple english so my mind won't overheat, the form of the GMST revenue streams. (many of us from Rambus land used to live and die on the expected licensing and royalty income....sigh). In other words, is there an established formula which licensees pay Gemstar for the software? Is it based on a formula which escalates or decreases over time, or depending on deployment, or hits? How is the potential ad revenue realized and divided? When GMST adds a new client, is this new revenue virtually bottom line earnings at this point, meaning all the development work has been completed and we have just another incremental sale? I know the company wants to be, and is, an IP company, but how does this translate to present and future earnings expectations?
A primer would be very useful to me and, I am sure, to others.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
