If you don't click, you have made a deliberate choice to deny someone a necessity, but no big, there's fresh Twinkies and Diet Coke right here in the cubicle. The value of a high-nice-factor, low-hype site like www.thehungersite.com is that it is a brilliant, effective way to introduce the self-absorbed millions who surf the net - like meeeee - to face up to the presence of charitable giving, and to the needs and hardships that cause it to exist. As far as I can see, the consequences of people not pushing the button are more acute for the non-pushers than even for the non-receivers.
