That was the first reason I bought, too, Dave. . . .and ever since then I've been trying to figure out why such a high stature CEO would head the board of tiny LightPath. The more crust I uncovered, the shinier the gem looked. . . until bingo. . .the connection. LightChip holds the key an all optical network. . . then suddenly Lucent announces this breakthrough. .. .coincidental? Not when you have Bell Labs scientists heading up LightChip. . . remember this line?

Hello? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together. . . and frankly, this info perfectly coincides with takeover rumors. . .which again are best left unsaid.

But yes, the heavyweight leaders coming into LightPath and LightChip speak volumes, in my opinion. Of course this is highly speculative. .. but when you look at broadbands, xDSLs and B2Bs. . .there is often even more speculation.
