Here we go! Starting with the DWA Home page. dorseywright.com
This review of the DWA site will take some time to accomplish. I'll learn some things as well as I'm sure I don't even use all of what is available at DWA. Let me know if there is anything I'm covering too quickly, not enough or too much. I'm just going to go step by step.
The Home page:
Welcome to the Dorsey, Wright & Associates, Inc. Home Page. Dorsey, Wright & Associates is an independent and privately owned registered investment advisory firm whose business includes two areas -- investment research services for numerous broker-dealers and large institutions around the world and professional management of equity portfolios for investors.
DWA started as a very small firm catering to brokers and the major brokerage houses delivering and teaching the PnF methodology to industry professionals. They have in the past couple of years been expanding to the individual investor providing charts, research and commentary.
On the home page are a few tidbits worth bookmarking but I'll start from the top and work down.
CNBC Page bookmark! Here Tom updates his CNBC appearances and stocks recommended on the show. As you know, charts change and Tom felt it imperative to have an update, at least for a month, of the stocks recommended on the Stock Talk program. This is available to all at a subscription is not needed to view. Market commentary included. This is a must for bookmarking.
Log-In to the system. bookmark! You can always log in here but there is a way to log in without having to go to the home page first. Here is the formula: dorseywright.com cgi-bin/foxweb.exe/d:/foxapps/fwlogon?logonname=????&password=???? (I had to break this up or it wouldn't all show up on the page. The cgi-bin follows the / without a break.) Enter your login name where the ???? are and then your password where the second ???? is. If you put this into your web browser options as your home page, your start up screen will be the automatic log-in to DWA (which I have and love).
Free trial/subscribe Here is where you sign up. We will be updating this to have the different subscriptions or options available for upgrades/new subscription and at what cost.
DWA Bookstore Want Tommy's book(s)? You can get them here and also other books that he has recommended to read. Excellent and informative selections. Coming soon, a DWA store where we will sell gratuitous and fabulous DWA (PnF) fixins. :-)
Contests DWA has several contests and sometimes two different ones running at one time. Currently is the football contest and we'll go over this feature in more detail later. Contests are available to non subscribers as well.
Today's trading tip Little useful tidbits and hints for trading the market.
