TORONTO, Nov. 23 /CNW/ - T S Telecom is pleased to announce that its Hong Kong subsidiary, T S International Co., Ltd. ("TSI"), has entered into a joint venture agreement with Harbin Dongan Generators (Group) Company Limited ("Harbin Dongan) to establish D & T Engineering Co., Ltd. ("D & T Engineering"). The joint venture will be principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of gas turbine power generator designed specifically for telecom providers in China. Mr. Raymond Lau, Chairman of the Board of T S Telecom Ltd. and TSI, says: "As the market leader of power monitoring system, T S Telecom will once again become the pioneer in providing backup power generators for telephone bureaus. This new joint venture is "the first and only" local venue to assemble gas turbine generator for China's telecommunications industry. Many of our customers have expressed interest in acquiring gas turbine generators to enhance their back-up capabilities. We believe it will be of huge demand." Pursuant to the joint venture agreement, D & T Engineering will be 55% owned by Harbin Dongan and 45% owned by TSI. The joint venture has a registered capital of RMB3 million (or Cdn$530,000). The joint venture agreement is subject to approval by relevant government authorities. T S Telecom Ltd. together with its subsidiaries is a value added distributor, manufacturer and systems integrator of specialized telecommunications equipment in China, including Hong Kong. The Company's focus is to assist telecommunication providers to ensure trouble free and continuous operations of their networks. The Company offers a range of products including advanced monitoring systems, and digital access equipment for telecommunication and related networks. T S Telecom Ltd., through TST Technologies, has a 30% interest in a manufacturing joint venture in Shanghai registered in the name of T S International Co., Ltd. |
