Funny how all the fleas (for differing reasons) want the big dog to roll over and settle so they can feed at their leisure. Jackson wouldn't have to worry about the very real possibility of being overturned in the appeals process. The DO(in)J, AG's and other assorted bureaucratic minions would get the power to dictate the future direction of IT through regulations and controls. The blood sucking class action lawyers would get a fat chunk of change. And MSFTs poor whining billionaire competitors would gain protection from having to worry about winning in the marketplace.

Oh, I forgot about the consumers. They would win, um, gee, maybe they would lose, but after all, protecting consumers is what this is all about. Isn't it?
