PB1, OFF TOPIC, FIBRE CHANNEL, lifted from the Yahoo Intel thread, below, another endorsement for FC by EMC, this time for Solaris support. I think you might have Emulex, who makes the adapter, and might have seen this already. BTW, George Gilder may be a visionary guy, but I did read today that he predicted the demise of electromagnetic storage at some time in the past (hard drives, etc.) because silicon would take it over. No quite. So, right now, I think he's calling Cisco "Crisco", and he thinks SANs will be taken over by NASs. I think I'll try to keep an eye on him. Is there an SI thread?

LightPulse Host Adapters Are Now Available For Symmetrix Enterprise
Storage in Windows NT, AIX and Solaris Operating Environments

and LP7000E host bus adapters for use with EMC Symmetrix Enterprise
