well, if this particular triangle breaks to the downside, it would NOT break to the norm. we'll see if there's followthrough selling on the breakout. if not, it may have been false.
otoh, the banks may have experienced a particularly sharp bear market rally...i still think that rising rates can't be all that good for these monsters laden with derivatives.

since both households and corporations are up to their eyeballs in debt, the next economic downturn should make for great shorts among the banks. i can easily see CMB in the 10-15 dollar range when all is said and done...(juuuust kidding)
