Defense rests? I hope not. Because, after determining that IBM was not an ally, Microsoft proceeded to charge IBM more for the very same software they allowed other allies to bundle at lower cost.

How does this play out in an antitrust setting? You may have noticed that a supermarket chain must set identical prices for a given product in a given trade area. The law that governs supermarket pricing also governs what Microsoft charges for its system software and other products.
