Tom, thanks for the post and I agree that using my strategy to short using 10-15% protective stops can and often does lead to losses...but they are SMALL losses, and you can still hit it big every once in a while and preserve your capital....this is the important point. During the past 10 years, adding to shorts when the stock goes UP has been devastating. I think the best strategy is to look for a good point to get a short in, then if the stock turns on you, goes up 10% or 15% and shows NO signs of weakening, to cover and look to get back in when the freight train slows down. Otherwise, you can get destroyed with margin calls, etc,...too many horrible things can happen and it is too depressing. In any event, I would appreciate advice on when you think a good time to get back in on CDRD is....I think the next few days will be very important....that gap WILL be filled.
