They went before the panel and the panel decided that the treatment didn't work well enough, but the FDA, in one of their better judgements, decided that since there was no current treatment for macular degeneration, something was better than nothing so they approved it. If it helps only 5% of the people afflicted with this terrible condition it will be worthwhile. Prediction: 11/24 - Sunrise Technologies doubles in price to over 25. bob
