Maybe it would be best to walk away. I do that when my rhythm is off. Sit back and watch awhile, or make small little bets to see how they go. Make mental stops, or if your are not disciplined, actual ones will do. I do not like to use stops myself, but I do try to sell before I get a 10% loss, and never let a gain turn into a loss. Also, I try to keep my margin at 60% or higher. I have never had a margin call, and have been on margin for decades by not breaking the above rules. Try to get in the mindset, that it is easier to take a loss then it is a gain. Think of taking a loss as cleansing event. Not only do you remove the burden of holding a mistake freeing your mind to find a better buy, you free up money to make that buy.
