Are all saved?

Why do some Christians falsely believe that there is no place called hell? Why do some simply refuse to believe that there is a God in heaven who really does mean what he says? I suppose that if Christians sincerely believed there was a hell then they would feel more obligated in taking on the burden of praying for the lost! Unfortunately, most Christians have been deceived into believing that the that "burden of intercession" is just that, "a burden" which someone else should carry. What's the use of spending ones energy if everything is "going to be all right in the end" anyway!

Are there many saved from their sins? I believe the Bible makes it plain that few are saved.

True revival comes when peoples eyes are opened to the revelation that they are sinners deserving hell but have been granted the chance of becoming a son of God (John 1:12)because of the work of the cross.

Why do so many Christians believe that the "down and out" people are more needy of God than those who appear to be at least half -way secure in life? Is it because they don't really believe the "seemingly secure" are headed for eternal damnation as well?

Why do some Christians foolishly believe that satan and his cohorts live in hell and it will be their duty to harass sinners? Let me make it clear that no devil cherishes the though of the eternal torments that awaits them there in that awful place. Nobody, no devil and no man will have any preeminence over another there because all will be consumed by the flames and the "worm that dieth not". I believe the "worm that dieth not" is the knowledge that they could have been sharing eternity with God, his angels and His saints but threw it all away because of unbelief.

Why do so many foolishly believe that God wants his people to tell others about the love of God but not His judgements? Jesus was faithful in telling more about the consequences of rejecting God than of the glories that await the overcomers.

Chris
