Hi jody, Just received the IPO Prospectus in the mail.I was one of the lucky ones that purchased A for 30.00 ( got a whopping 100 shares). Of the business segments past performance, at least in the semiconductor test segment, won't tell you much.I have long been invested in semi test sector.This interest is what initially started my desire to accumulate A . It is now clear that the communications sector(test and measurement) is the growth with stability sector.These guys came close to inventing fiber optic(at least the tools required to install). As digital evolves to dominate our communications, fiber optic is found in short distance networks vs undersea applications (Mega trend that will continue). What is interesting to me is the chemical analysis sector.It is smaller but has nice margins.I would like to hear from someone who works with A's mass spectroscopy and liquid chromatogrophy and consumables such as columns and supplies. SHeesh I hate being ignorant. <ggg> Having been in the semiconductor sector since its infancy all I can say is hold onto your hat it has huge cycles.Fortunately we are now on an upswing from a very depressed asian contagion.I believe this upswing will be quite strong as the market has been pent up till recent Qtrs.This should bode very well for future earnings as volume drives efficeincies in this sector. Lets enjoy accumulating this long term holder.It is a leader is some most dynamic sectors.I now will enjoy learning more about some new exciting fields that I feel will accelerate my retirement. For what its worth I'm buying on the dips. HEHEHE P.S. they talked down first quarter performance as historically weak - may provide a good buying opportunity,as flippers sell there lucky shares.
