Diversinet Appoints Former Oracle Vp To Senior Executive Position

TORONTO, CANADA--

Vice President Sales & Marketing added to Diversinet management team

Diversinet Corp. (Nasdaq Small Cap: DVNT, CDN: DVNT), a leading provider of security solutions for wireless e-commerce products, announced today that Mr. Verne Meredith is joining the company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, effective December 1st, 1999.

In this capacity, Mr. Meredith will have global responsibility for marketing and sales, including development of the distribution strategy for the company, management of the sales and marketing functions, and the development of key strategic alliances. He will also have input into product development priorities and will help develop the after-sales strategies for the company, including both customer support and consulting services.

While with Oracle Canada as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Mr. Meredith helped restructure Oracle's sales model and day-to-day operations, revamped pricing models and reorganized the lead generation programs. He is also the former Managing Director at British Telecom Canada and has also held several senior marketing/sales positions at Xerox Canada. Combined, Mr. Meredith brings over 25 years of sales and marketing experience to the firm.
