Yougang, Lehman's Barlage is simply wrong about 700 MHz Athlon.

With clock speeds up to 733 MHz, it enabled Intel to recapture the performance leadership from Advanced Micro Devices' 700 MHz Athlon device. Although it is not clear how well AMD was actually yielding at this speed grade and, therefore, how real the product was, the image of Intel has probably been enhanced by its recovery of performance leadership.

Actually Albert told me that a Compaq Representative recommended upgrading his business systems to the new ATHLON 750 SYSTEM, quoting a mid-December delivery.

Barlage doesn't believe that the 700 is "real" but 750 systems are already being recommended by the largest worldwide manufacturer of PC's.
