Robert, thx for the article. What do you think? I try not to "under-estimate" any segment of the Amzn players, long or short, for they are the market; the supply/demand line.

Remember in Aug/Sep, while Amzn was trading under $45 for many days...we all discovered that Janus was filing to report a 10% stake(over 27M shares) of Amzn's outstanding shares...what was the shorts thinking? We were describing parts of the article a few months ago. Why can't they short high and cover low?

However, it will be interesting to guess what % of the Amzn's short interest has became the "permanent" short due to all the hedgings from the bonds and others.

Also, there were cross-the-board heavy short increases from 9/99 to 10/99...such as 55% for Yhoo, 70% for Nite, Double for Cmrc..Icge..Vert..etc..There are precisely, posititively correlated with the current run in those stocks. Again, what were those shorts thinking?
