I feed the birds (and other animals) in my backyard and take great joy in watching them. Many have flown smack into doors and windows, fall to the ground for a minute, then off they go. Joe can be pretty hard-boiled when it comes to birds (I know I'll hear about this - payback time, Joe, for a much earlier remark) so he would naturally take a negative view. Hmph! No body, no crime.
