HAPPY THANKSGIVING to the "OFF-TOPIC LOQUACIONS"!!!

Gee, that sorta sounds a little bit like some new rock band, or perhaps a cyberspace jazz group.

I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday,
and I wish you the love and closeness of your family and friends. I hope you all have MUCH to be "thankful" for this year.

Among the many "new" things I have to be thankful for this year are the many helpful, kind, thoughtful, and truly terrific people that I've met here on Silicon Investor. I only wish I had more time to get to know many of you much better, but other responsibilities just take so much of my time.

This thread (my thanks to Joe for starting it), has some of of the nicest people I've met on SI. A place to perhaps "let our hair down" a little bit, with some truly wonderful people who not only have great senses of humor (never taking themselves too seriously), but seem to always show interest, caring, kindness, and "respect" for the thoughts and feelings of their fellow posters. Not only that, but you're a bunch of really smart and savvy investors too, as "witnessed" by the fact that most of you appear on two "longs" lists showing the wisdom to "invest" in a couple of companies representing, IMHO, the "cutting edge" of the "Information Highway's" future. And trusting a couple of pretty smart guys (Russell Horowitz, and Paul Allen) with a chunk of two of your hard-earned dollars, feeling very confident that they'll "do the right thing."

My grandma (who lived to be 103) had a wonderful philosophy that she lived her life by, affecting all who came in contact with her. "Aways look for the good in life, never stop learning something new, and treat each day as a very special & magical gift." She was the most "positive" person I've ever known, always finding something to be "thankful" for each day, and NEVER dwelling on the negative (no matter how bad things may have seemed). She had gone through enough trauma and hardship in her life to fill many lifetimes, but she always let the negative in life "run off like rain on a duck's back," and somehow always found the "good."

Tomorrow I plan be very "thankful", get as "stuffed" as I can, and not go back into "training" until after all the left-overs are gone (sometime next week)! :)))

Peace to you all. . .and THANKS,

Roger

PS. Carolyn, your post #271 was truly wonderful!
