Daniel, Both of your messages are quite misleading. I have worked
in the PLD business for the last 5 years, and I know it is going
strong. As far as I know, AMD has no plan to get out of the PLD
market. I heard that PLD is the most profitable division of AMD.

It seems to me that you do not know what kind of business Lattice
is in. Altera and Xilinx are the main competitors. Altera is the
market leader in CPLD, and Xilinx is the marktet leader for FPGA.
Lattice is the inventor of both the low density GAL devices, and
the ISP(In system programable) devices.
For your information, Lattice was rated as one of the best
managed small companies by Fortune magzine 5 years in a roll.
As of last year, the annual sales was $198M.
If you are a technical person, I suggest that you look at the
web sites of Lattice and Altera. All the competitors, big and
small have endorsed ISP as the way PLD is going. Xilinx, AMD and
Altera all have plans to produce ISP compatible devices.
As far as I know, PLD is one of the fastest growing segments in
the semiconductor industry.
