Paul, obviously AMD is able to deliver 750mhz Athlons to Compaq in enough volume to virtually guarantee a 3 week lead time for Presario systems.

I was wondering if it's possible for AMD to manufacture these chips on the .25um process or if they need the .18um process to get to this speed.

If AMD is yielding .18um 750mhz Athlons in enough volume to satisfy a major OEM like Compaq with a guaranteed delivery date then I'm impressed! I believe a major OEM like Compaq isn't stupid enough to get burned by another AMD production SNAFU.

In your opinion, do you believe these Athlons are .18um or .25um.

If they're .18 then I'll be watching AMD even more closely. I've got too much in Intel to take any competitor lightly.

Looking forward to what you think,

Doug
