It would not immediately increase subscriber base because those subscribers need a "truck roll" to be connected to cable BB.
At this point, the backlog of subscribers waiting for cable BB is so large, anything that adds to this would not be IMMEADIATELY beneficial. At some point, when the trucks are sitting there waiting (probably years from now) that's when an influx of new subscribers would be beneficial. Subscribers are being added as fast as possible, the average time now to hook-up a BB cable has got to be between 1 and 2 hours (my guess, not factual). So, you see, ATHM is adding subscribers as fast as PHYSICALLY possible. 10MM wanting to switch to ATHM doesn't help right now, because it's physically impossible to hook them all the BB cable in a short period of time. Someday, there may be a total self-install kit that could expedite hook-up, but for now, it's limited by the number of installers.
